The Hub is a shopping centre located in the suburb of Burpengary in the Caboolture Shire of South East QLD. The original centre was called The Village at East Burpengary and comprised two single storey buildings which were tenanted by an IGA supermarket, bottle shop, takeaway, bakery, and a childcare centre. The Hub was purchased by PrimeSpace in 2006 and has since been redeveloped taking the net lettable area to 4,083 m2. The new shopping centre has 20 tenancies, improved landscaping and signage and a total of 260 car spaces.
Burpengary straddles both sides of the Bruce Highway. It is situated approximately five kilometres from Morayfield, the Shire’s largest retail centre, and approximately 12 kilometres from Caboolture, the commercial precinct of the Shire. Burpengary is one of the Caboolture Shire’s fastest growing residential areas with strong residential and non-residential approval rates, increasing average house and land prices and a strong labour force. The suburb currently contains five shopping centres and research shows a strong demand for an upgrade of The Hub to service the increasing shopping, convenience, medical and childcare needs of those that reside on the east of the Bruce Highway.
The Hub is currently owned by the PrimeSpace Property Trust No.3.
